People let us down, promises are broken, we get disappointed. It is no wonder we skim over the red letters in our Bible and do not take them seriously. We don’t want to be hurt. And how could these things really be true? I mean, Jesus didn’t really mean those things He said about us…did he?
Daughter, you must know this, God takes covenants very seriously. He does not waiver on His word, He does not use ambiguous phrases or fine print to confuse or trick us. And God could not make a greater covenant than the one He made with Himself!
“We are no longer under the Law but under Grace. The Old Covenant has served its purpose, and it has been replaced by a better covenant.” Heb 7:22
All we are asked is to believe. It is not always easy. These are big truths to swallow, that contradict and oppose the things of this world. But, the good news is He gives us the faith we need to believe as well! When you read your Bible pay close attention when Jesus is speaking to believers, THAT MEANS YOU. Make sure you divide the word correctly. There are times He speaks to those still under the Old Covenant, that isn’t you sister. You are under the NEW. The old has passed away.
So start receiving the truth! He says so many amazing things about you! And He does not lie! Here are just a few;
Your sins are forgiven Mt 9:2
You are called sons of God Lk 6:20
You are called children of The Most High Ps 82:6
It will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over Lk 6:38
I will never send you away Jn 6:37
I do not condemn you Jn 8:11
You will have life abundant JN 10:10
Nothing is impossible for you Mt 11:20
You are Holy Rom 11:16
You are sanctified 1Cor 1:2
I have the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing will injure me Lk 10:18
There are SO many more! Read them! Believe them! Watch what happens when you start to believe what God says about YOU!
“I have been given God’s precious and magnificent promises by which I am a partaker of the divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:4
